Ed Ruscha, 1984. Oil on canvas.Seems that I've found myself a new favourite piece of art. Spotted this among loads of other highlights at the Tate Modern a couple of days ago. So simple yet so strong in its meaning. Inspiring.

I totally agree with you. When I visited the Tate Modern last summer I was kind of flashed in the Ed Ruscha Room. Just to mention: to enter the Ruscha room you have to pass Andy Warhols room but this painting is burned in my mind, not the cow wallpaper.
